“Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.”
— Proverbs 6:6–8
The wisdom of the ant is not just about working hard, it’s about knowing the seasons. The ant doesn’t waste time or miss opportunities. It works when it’s time to work, gathers when it’s time to gather, and survives the winter because of its preparation.
God built the world in seasons, and He invites us to live wisely by recognizing the rhythm of each season in our own lives.

This is a beautiful vision for the Ministry at USF Flow
🌱 Spring – Planting
In spring, everything is new. This is the time to dream, to plant seeds, to take risks, and to nurture what God is birthing in you. Whether that’s starting a new habit, launching a project, or building a relationship, spring is when you put seeds in the ground.
Ask yourself: What am I planting now that I want to see grow later?
🌞 Summer – Working (Ant Army Attitude)
Summer is hot, tiring, and demanding. For the ant, it’s the season of relentless work. Spiritually, summer represents the grind, putting in effort even when it feels exhausting. This is the season to be diligent, to stay consistent, and to trust that the labor is not in vain.
Ask yourself: Where do I need to stay diligent, even when it’s tough?
🍂 Autumn – Gathering the Harvest
Autumn is the season of fruitfulness. It’s when the results of spring planting and summer work begin to show. But harvest doesn’t come in by itself — it still requires action. Autumn teaches us to celebrate God’s provision while also doing the work of gathering.
Ask yourself: What fruit is ready in my life, and how can I gather it with gratitude?
❄ Winter – Relying on Provision
Winter can feel quiet, still, or even barren. But winter isn’t wasted. For the ant, it’s the time of survival, resting on what was stored earlier. Spiritually, winter is when we rely on God’s faithfulness and trust the investments we’ve already made.
Ask yourself: What has God already provided that I can lean on in this season?

You know I love a good calendar!!!
✨ Living with the Ant Attitude
The ant doesn’t panic at the changing of seasons. It simply does what is wise for each moment. That’s the invitation for us: to embrace each season for what it is and to walk with wisdom.
-
In spring, plant faithfully.
-
In summer, work diligently.
-
In autumn, gather joyfully.
-
In winter, rely confidently.
Every season has purpose. Every step of obedience builds toward God’s greater plan.
