A Devotional for the Ant Army

Encouragement from my Intercessory prayer teams, 7 lovely woman who join to pray for me and this ministry every month. This was for me but I wanted to share with you too.

Scripture:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Deuteronomy 31:8

Reflect

When God called Joshua to lead Israel into the Promised Land, He didn’t hand him a detailed map of every step. Instead, He gave Joshua a promise: “I will be with you.”

Courage, then, was not about Joshua’s confidence in himself, but his confidence in God’s presence. The same is true for us in this Ant Army season. The goal before us, 75 recurring partners by September 30th and $65,000 raised for the mission at USF, may feel big. But our courage does not come from our own strength, strategy, or resources. It comes from the truth that God goes before us, and He will never leave or forsake us.

Encourage

Just like the ants in Proverbs 6:6–8, we keep moving steadily, step by step, trusting the Lord to multiply every effort. Each prayer spoken and each gift given is a seed planted. Right now, we’ve seen 29 recurring partners and 36 one-time partners join in, with $41,000 raised. We are more than halfway there—but the Lord is calling us to press forward in faith, knowing He is our provider.

When discouragement whispers, “You don’t have enough, you won’t make it,” we silence it with God’s Word:

  • He is with us (Joshua 1:9).

  • He goes before us and will never forsake us (Deut. 31:8).

  • He has already commanded strength and courage into our steps.

Pray

Father, thank You that You go before us into every conversation, every meeting, and every campus door. Thank You that we are never walking alone. Strengthen our hearts when the goal feels too big. Remind us that You are the God of abundance, and what looks impossible to us is already possible in Your hands. Make us like the ants—faithful, steady, and united. Let every seed planted bear fruit for Your Kingdom at USF. Amen.

🌱 Ant Army Family—be encouraged today: every prayer matters, every step counts, and every seed is part of God’s plan. He is with us, He is for us, and He will finish what He started.
