Jorgie’s Bubbly Updates: A Year of Yes
There are moments in life where you pause and realize you are standing inside a prayer you once whispered.
This is one of those moments.
As I reflect on my first year with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, I am overwhelmed. Not just by what has happened, but by how it has happened.
God did not just provide.
He built something.
He built a team.
What God Was Really Doing
When I said yes to campus ministry, I thought I was stepping into a role.
What I now see is that God was inviting me into a process.
He did not just want me funded.
He wanted me supported, covered, and surrounded.
He wanted:
• a sustainable ministry
• a strong foundation
• a long list of people who believe in the call on my life
And that is exactly what He has done.
Through friends, family, churches, and divine connections, this ministry has grown into something real, stable, and full of promise.
More Than Ministry
At the same time, God has been faithful in every area.
• I am finishing my master’s degree
• I will be hooded and commissioned (and I would love for you to come celebrate with me)
• I am preparing to pursue a Doctorate in Ministry
None of this feels accidental.
It feels orchestrated.
A Celebration in the Middle of the Journey
This Friday, we are celebrating in a way that feels just like me.
Pilates. Cake pops. Community.
A moment to gather, laugh, and say thank you for what God is doing.
And if you have been part of this journey in any way, I hope you come.
The Final Stretch
Now here is where it gets even more exciting.
In just the past couple of months, since around February 11, something has shifted.
People have said yes.
Partners have joined.
Momentum has built.
And now…
👉 I am 8 monthly partners and 2 quarterly partners away from being fully funded.
That is it.
• 8 people giving $100/month
• 2 people giving $100/quarter
That final step moves this ministry from building…
to fully sustainable.
What This Means
Once this is complete:
• I will be fully supported financially
• I will be ready to be released more fully onto campus
• I will be positioned for a strong Fall 2026–2027 school year at USF Graduate & Faculty Ministry
Whether I am released immediately or not, one thing is certain:
👉 The foundation will be fully built.
God Is Faithful
I have watched God:
• provide at the right time
• send the right people
• grow something I could not have built on my own
This is not just fundraising.
This is faith becoming structure. What does that mean?
“What I once trusted God for is now something I can stand on.”
At the beginning, everything is:
• unseen
• uncertain
• dependent on prayer and obedience
That is faith.
But over time, as you keep saying yes, God begins to:
• send people
• provide resources
• build consistency
• create systems and support
Now what was once invisible becomes visible and stable.
That is structure.
A year ago:
• no full partner team
• no financial consistency
• no clear monthly base
I was walking by faith.
Now:
• ~$2,900 monthly average
• committed partners
• predictable giving patterns
• a nearly complete support team
That is structure.
An Invitation
If you have been watching, praying, or cheering from a distance, I want to invite you into this final step.
Over the past year, many have given, encouraged, and supported in meaningful ways. Some have given one time. Some intended to start monthly and have not yet begun. Some seasons have shifted.
This is part of the journey.
But what God is building now is not just support.
It is sustainability.
As I step into this next season, my focus is to build a strong and lasting foundation. That means moving from occasional giving to committed partnership.
So I want to ask clearly:
Would you consider being one of the 8 who commit to $100 a month?
Or one of the 2 who commit to $100 quarterly?
Not out of pressure, but out of purpose.
Because this is not just about me.
It is about students.
It is about faculty.
It is about lives that will be impacted for years to come.
This moment feels surreal.
A year ago, I said yes.
Today, I can see what that yes has built.
And I am grateful.
God is faithful.
